I usually know why someone ignores me although it doesn’t happen often. It’s normally when I have had an argument with someone. I fell out with my neighbour once and it was quite awkward for a while as every time we saw each other we would look the other way. We made it up in the end.

The people that make me laugh are those who put in a friendship request on Facebook and then ignore you when they see you in the street!

If my friend is ignoring there can be two reasons, first is i know why he/she is doing so or I may not know the exact reason. In first case since I know te reason I would give some breathing time to my friend to think on the matter so that when can explain about the problem in future he can readily understand it! In second case I need to attend my friend at the earliest before the things can become complicated and there can be a misunderstanding between us! If you two are really friends and that friendship matters then you can demand an explanation from your friend. But if she/he is not of that value to you then you can always ignore. Who cares, right? You can let her/him feel that you can live your life without her/him. And that is the most important thing.

For  me, I will ask what’s the reason or if I did something wrong to him. But if it’s her reason is unreasonable I will just ignore her or him. So that she or he know what she did if it’s right or wrong.
