Do You Walk Regularly As An Exercise?

After my heart surgery I have started walking and within a spsn of 7 to 8 days I have almost walking 5 kilometers a day at the speed of 4.4 to 4.5 Kilo meters a day.

Today I have walked about 7.284 Kilometers at the speed of 4.5 Kilometers. But still I am feelig fresh!

Do you walk regularly as an exercise in the morning? If yes, how many kilometers a day? Is this a routine for you like many people they do have?

Answer Question
  1. No,I prefer jogging.Walking (also known as ambulation) is one of the main gaits of locomotionamong legged animals. Walking is typically slower than running and other gaits. Walking is defined by an ‘inverted pendulum’ gait in which the body vaults over the stiff limb or limbs with each step. This applies regardless of the unusable number of limbs—even arthropods, with six, eight, or more limbs, walk.

  2. I really enjoy walking because it’s such an easy form of exercise. I could walk and walk for hours and not be bored or tired. However, it’s been a while since I actually did some proper walking for exercise, especially since I started driving. Experts actually recommend walking over jogging as it’s kinder on joints.

  3. I used to walk more before I drove. I learned to drive late in life so walked everywhere. Now it is so tempting to just jump in the car.

Up until a couple of years ago I walked my granddaughter to school every day. In all it was an hour of  brisk walking each day.  Now she is able to walk alone I miss the exercise I got during those walks. I do however have 2 dogs which I walk every day so I still get some exercise.

  4. Wow… I am just viewing that from this perspective. I do walk everyday but not as exercise. I like it because it makes you keep shape and helps in the freshness of the body…

The distance covered may not be that long but at the end of the exercise, one will sweat it out and keep fit! Bodily exercise…

  5. This topic made me realize that I have been missing my walking episodes. My husband and I used to walk after dinner to help in the digestion and also a way of bonding for us. But in the recent months we have not done that due to numerous tasks at home.
