Do You harvest The Rain water In your Country?

In India since the water table is going down day by day we are giving much stress on the rainwater harvesting.

By doing so instead of water getting mixed with the sea water after the rains we make the water to get into the earth to elevate the water table. we have many ways of doing it.

The whole idea is preventing the water from wasting and utilizing the same for proper utilization for the future!

Government is not giving any permission to get some new tube wells and for the areas where we need tube wells we are suppose to have some water harvest projects before digging a new bore well!

There are provinces where they have cisterns and water storage underground for the purpose of collecting rain water. But in our home we just fill some drums and that is good for watering the plants.

Yes I do harvest The Rain water In your Country.

When drought occurs, rainwater harvested in past months can be used. If rain is unpredictable, the use of a rainwater harvesting system can be critical to capturing the rain when it does fall. Many countries with arid environments, use rainwater harvesting as a cheap and reliable source of clean water.
