Are Hares and Rabbits Same?

Hares look like Rabbits but they have big body and big wars. Their color is also varies from grey to brown.

They are wildly found in nature and people often consider these hares similar to rabbits as both belong to same family.

But there is an important difference between the two as Rabbit and Hares are not genetically incompatible so they can’t be bred!

Did you know about this fact about these two similar looking animals?

Rabbits and hares are different from the moment they are born. … Hares tend to be larger than rabbits, with longer hind legs and longer ears with black markings. While rabbits’ fur stays the same color year-round, hares change color from brown or gray in the summer to white in the winter.

Majority considered a similarities of hares and rabbits as one but as for me I see little different in them.rabbits have long tail, live in hole for week with food inside, sight clearly at night than day and claim a tree so easy.

I think the difference can be likened to a crocodile and alligator where the alligator is bigger but the crocodile is more ferocious.

I did not know this fact that makes this two different. I always taught that hares are hares because they live in the wildlife while rabbits are rabbits because they are domestic and can be kept at home. I did not know that the two are genetically incompatible.
